Frances has a plan: job, husband, kids—as soon as possible. Unfortunately, life—and five Christmases with her wonderfully chaotic family—has other ideas.

Warm, funny, quirky, and romantic, Five Christmases is a Hallmark Christmas movie with more laughs, more surprises, and considerably more Baby Toe salad.

And this one is extra special: Five Christmases will make its debut right here at PACP!

We are looking for actors for the following roles:

Frances — Female, 20s. Wholesome, lively, sarcastic, and sometimes delightfully silly.

Owen — Male, 20s. Clever and caring, with a moody or shy side.

Gwen — Female, 50s. Frances’ mom. Excitable, loving, and a little possessive.

Pat — Male, 50s. Frances’ dad. A big softie and the family peacemaker.

Jenny — Female, 70s. Frances’ grandmother. Sharp, unique, and wonderfully unlike the rest of her family.

Enid — Female, 20s. Frances’ younger sister. A competitive little princess.

Jo — Female, 40s. Frances’ aunt and Kirby’s mom. Quirky and ditzy.

Kirby — Male, 20s. A delinquent stoner with a heart of gold.

Kim — Female, 40s. Owen’s mom. Flighty and decidedly non-standard.

Mitch — Male, 20s. Motivated, self-assured, and somewhat socially incomplete.

A note about ages: The listed ages are the playwright’s suggestions, but we’re happy to consider actors who fall outside those ranges. Skills and fit for the role may outweigh the exact age.

A note about intimacy & character work:

The actors playing Frances and Owen will have kissing and/or other physically intimate moments.

Gwen and Pat are a married couple and share quick kisses and hugs.

The actor playing Kirby will need to be comfortable portraying a character who is drunk/stoned.

A note about rehearsal commitment:

The final rehearsal schedule will be shaped around actors’ conflicts whenever possible. Kim and Mitch each have only one appearance, so their rehearsal commitment will be quite limited. If available, their voices may also be used for an off-stage, Hallmark-style movie playing in the background.

What to expect at auditions: Please arrive 10 minutes before the audition to complete paperwork if you haven’t already done so. • A brief warm-up
• A walk-about
• Cold readings from the script
• Some improv

No preparation or memorized monologue is required. Just come ready to play!
