AUDTION ANNOUNCEMENT
Brace yourselves for an awfully big adventure…
Auditions for Peter Pan Goes Wrong: Friday, November 20th and Saturday, November 21st, 6pm at The Port Angeles Community Playhouse
The much-loved members of The Cornley Drama Society (The Play that Goes Wrong) once again battle against technical hitches, flying mishaps and cast disputes on their way to Neverland with hilarious and disastrous results in this comedy by Jonathan Sayer, Henry Lewis, and Henry Shields, directed by Jessica McKenzie and Marissa LeeAnn Rose.
Performance dates: Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Tuesdays March 5th – 21st, 2027
Rehearsals: Cast will receive their scripts and partake in a table reading early to mid-December. Group rehearsals begin early January, 2027 (evening, weeknights).
Available Roles*:
CHRIS – The president of the drama society, plays Mr. Darling and Captain Hook.
ROBERT – Plays Nana the Dog, Peter’s Shadow and Starkey.
FRANCIS – Plays the Narrator and Cecco.
SANDRA – Plays Wendy Darling.
DENNIS – Plays John Darling and Mr. Smee.
ANNIE** – Plays Mrs. Darling, Lisa, Curly and Tinker Bell.
MAX – Plays Michael Darling, Mermaid and the Crocodile.
TREVOR – The company’s stage manager.
JONATHAN – Plays Peter Pan.
LUCY – Plays Tootles.
GILL – Cornley stagehand and later split tracks as a paramedic.
*All roles in PPGW are very physically demanding. Actors must feel comfortable with staged combat and action including falling, fighting, running, jumping, crawling, lifting, dancing and more.
AUDITIONS:
Actors will perform group cold readings from the script.
Auditioners are encouraged, but not required, to prepare a short skit or scene highlighting their comedic and physical comedy abilities. (2 min or less, please!)
**Auditioners interested in the role of Annie are required to prepare a short song that shows their vocal range and ability. Please note that this actor does not necessarily need to sing well, but they will need to sing. This portion of the audition will take place at the end of the session.
