New Board Members and Executive Board

New Board Members and Executive Board

We said goodbye to three dedicated board members and welcomed three new board members at our 75th season showcase event. Melody Todnem, Steve Chamberlain, and Jamie Robinson said adieu; while Justin Stapleton, Marissa Wilson, and Travis Lester were welcomed to 3 year terms (2026 – 2029). We’re looking forward to seeing what new ideas and energy this batch of board members will bring into the Playhouse.

After the meeting we nominated officers according to our Bylaws. For the 26/27 season, they will be Ken Winters (President for the 3rd year), Travis Lester (Vice President), Jaymie Crafts (Treasurer for the 3rd year), and Marissa Wilson (Secretary). Over the past few years Travis has become a key person back-stage, taking on positions set building, prop creation, stage managing, and countless facilities related projects. Marissa is a former board member (during Covid) and is best known as the artist behind our marketing graphics and growing social media presence.

Being in leadership at the Playhouse isn’t all fun and games. We definitely try to enjoy ourselves (you’ll hear laughter and enthusiastic chatter almost every day of the week at the Playhouse), but there are constant challenges. It takes a lot of time and energy to keep things running smoothly. We do it for the love of live theater and our community. Life is better with theater and we are better having been a part of theater.

We consider it an honor to be entrusted with the leadership of a 75 yr-old theater group. And we will do all that we can do to see that it remains healthy and thriving for another 75 years. Stay tuned for an amazing season and some cool events honoring our 75th anniversary year.
