Volunteer
Come play with us — onstage, backstage, or behind the scenes.
Port Angeles Community Players is an all-volunteer organization, and we are always looking for people who want to be part of live theatre. Whether you have professional skills, love learning new ones, or just want to help where needed, there’s a place for you here.
Some volunteer opportunities happen at the Playhouse, some outdoors, and many can be done from home. We provide guidance, training, and materials — no experience required, just enthusiasm.
The real stars of the Playhouse aren’t just onstage. They’re the volunteers who keep the magic going year-round.
We offer:
- Flexible schedules — one-time, seasonal, or ongoing
- Training provided for all roles
- Opportunities for all ages, skill levels, and abilities
- Social, creative, hands-on, and behind-the-scenes options

Building and Maintenance
Help care for our home.
Our Playhouse is an incredible community space, and keeping it running takes ongoing care.
Ways to help:
- Painting & basic repairs
- Gardening & outdoor maintenance
- Cleaning, decluttering & organizing
- Assisting skilled volunteers on larger projects
No tools? No problem. Skilled handy-people and good helpers are equally welcome. You can pick projects that fit your schedule and comfort level — and maybe even learn a new skill along the way.
Administrative, Marketing, and Social Media
Keep the Playhouse running and growing.
Behind the scenes, there’s a lot that goes into running a nonprofit theater as a business — and much of this work can be done remotely.
Opportunities include:
- Social media content & posting (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, more)
- Website updates & content creation
- Newsletter writing & distribution
- Graphic design for flyers & programs
- Community outreach & partnerships
- Fundraising & special event support
- Data entry & digital archiving (help preserve 60 years of history!)
- Volunteer coordination & management
Creative? Organized? Tech-savvy? Just helpful? We want you.
