WARDROBE SEMINAR

What goes in to planning, choosing, deciding what an actor wears on stage? Is this a complicated process? How do you keep track of what everyone is wearing and make sure characters don’t visually clash with each other? And most importantly of all – can anyone learn to do this?

The role of the costumer on stage is one of those “silent” roles we often don’t think about but when they do their job right we better understand characters, we enjoy the play and are easily transported to whatever setting the show takes place in.

Costume Designers do a lot more than just pull costumes out from inventory stock! There is careful script analysis and close consultation with the director as well as studying the actors to get the right fit and color.

YOU TOO COULD BE A COSTUME DESIGNER FOR THE P.A. COMMUNITY PLAYHOUSE!
Yes, YOU!
